Roland Wickett

After graduating from the University of Victoria Roland Wickett became half of the sales force at Parksville Realty, his father’s company; together they offered real estate sales, insurance, and Notary Public services. This early real estate experience, nearly 40 years ago, helped develop Roland’s understanding of Parksville and the mid-Island area. It also led to being named Top Manager for Western Canada for three of four years during his management tenure at NRS Block Bros. Realty. In 1996 Roland was appointed Manager of Coast Realty Group (Parksville) Ltd specifically for his regional expertise, stellar reputation, and industry knowledge. In 1997 Coast Realty Group opened a Port Alberni branch, in 2001 a Qualicum Beach branch, and in 2004 an Ucluelet office - Roland’s exceptional managerial capacity enabled him to take leadership of each of these four offices, but not without “some great help”.

Under Roland’s direction, Sales Representatives have a detailed mandate to understand the specific needs of their clientele and deliver professional service to buyers as well as sellers. Representatives are able to offer high-calibre service due to the available knowledge-base, technology, and the dynamic environment at Coast Realty Group. Roland believes that real estate ownership is the “cornerstone of our society, culture, and economic growth”. Roland oversees more than 65 Representatives from the sandy shores of Parksville and Qualicum Beach to the…well, sandy shores of Long Beach between Ucluelet and Tofino. Services include real estate sales, personal and commercial insurance, property management, and project management consulting. Each office is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Representatives are active participants in their communities, volunteering for non-profit organizations, and serving on numerous boards including the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB). In Parksville and Qualicum Beach, representatives donate a portion of each commission to support local high school scholarships and the Oceanside Hospice Society. Three of the four nominees for the 2008 VIREB Care Award (Parksville/Qualicum Beach, community and charity category) were from Coast Realty Group. Port Alberni Representatives are actively involved in countless charitable functions; they provide funding and volunteer hours for special events involving children, literacy, and families in transition.
